All You Need To Know About CG Scholarship Initiative

The government has several initiatives for people who wish to access higher education but for some reason are unable to do so. The reasons may be a lack of financial resources, or sometimes students having to give up the idea of higher education in order to find odd jobs to support their families.

Some of the CG scholarships provided by CVRU Bilaspur are as follows:

1. Scholarship for underprivileged:
   People belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories can apply for this scholarship. They can apply for this if their annual income is below 1 Lakh per annum, although they would need to submit a caste certificate to be considered for this scholarship and an income certificate signed by tahsildar.
2. Scholarship for meritorious students:
   Students who score above 85% in their HSC or SSC examinations are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is either given in bulk in the beginning of term or in parts as the term progresses. Special concessions are also given to students who hail from economically backward backgrounds.
3. Scholarship for ME/Mtech:
   In order to promote post graduate studies in India, an amount of Rs 8000 will be given to students having cleared MHRD or GATE examinations. This is given to students to give them an opportunity to complete their thesis work when they do not have the necessary funds to do so. Candidates will be needed to present certain documents along with the form for the scholarship program. Some of these documents include; caste certificate signed by tahsildar, income certificate signed by tahsildar, SSC and HSC marksheets, final year marksheets for PG students, hard copy of online application, domicile certificate, copy of bank passbook with IFSC, Aadhar card. All of these documents need to be self attested.

Providing students with scholarships is a really noble initiative to ensure that each student gets the chance to pursue higher education regardless of whether they have the funds to do so or not.
